Cannes Film Festival 2022: Sons of Ramses | Interview of Clément Cogitore

We interviewed Clément Cogitore, director of Sons of Ramses (Goutte d’Or) starring Karim Leklou, presented at the 61st Critics’ Week, at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

We at the best of times at the 61st Critics’ Week, as part of the 75th Cannes Film Festival: we discovered remarkable features such as Love According to Dalva by Emmanuelle Nicot or Summer Scars by Simon Rieth, as well as Sons of Ramses (Goutte d’Or) by Clément Cogitore, showcased as a special screening.

Ramses is a skillful clairvoyant in the multicultural Parisian district of La Goutte d’Or. When a gang of fearless kids start terrorizing the locals, the balance of his thriving business and of the whole neighborhood is disturbed. Until one day, when Ramses has a real vision.

The films is precisely and remarkably crafted, and anchored by a new terrific performance by actor Karim Leklou.
