We were thrilled to meet and shoot a fun interview Director Jasmine Trinca and Actress Alba Rohrwacher, who presented Marcel! out of competition at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
After praising the quality of the Cannes Film Festival’s parallel sections in previous articles, let’s focus on the “out of competition” lineup, in which we were lucky to discover Jasmine Trinca’s debut feature entitled Marcel! starring Alba Rohrwacher and Maayane Conti, a refreshing and entertaining fable which benefits from Alba Rohrwacher’s outstanding acting skills and Jasmine Trinca’s remarkable visual instincts, anchored by a beautiful soundtrack composed by.
The young girl, an insomniac. The mother, an artist. The dog, named Marcel. The little girl loves her mother immensely, but her mother loves Marcel more than anything else. Will an unpredictable event allow those circles of love to reconnect?
We were excited to sit down with the remarkably talented and fun Italian artists, for a chat about their work on Marcel!, respectively as director and actress.
