CPH:DOX 2021: He’s My Brother | Interview of Cille Hannibal & Christine Hanberg

We interviewed the fantastic duo of filmmakers behind He’s My Brother, which won a Special Mention at CPH:DOX 2021: director Cille Hannibal and co-director Christine Hanberg.

We were delighted to have a chat with a brilliant duo of filmmakers: director Cille Hannibal and co-director Christine Hanberg have crafted an important and beautiful tale on humanity and pure love. Their film, He’s My Brother (Denmark, Norway, 2021) has just received a Special Mention from the jury of the Nordic:DOX Competition of the 2021 CPH:DOX, Copenhagen’s international documentary film festival, where the film celebrated its World Premiere.

He’s My Brother follows the story of Christine, whose brother Peter was born deaf and blind. Make sure to read our review to find out about the ingredients that make this film a true gem.

Mehdi Balamissa is a Franco-Moroccan documentary film passionate who lives in Montreal, Canada. Mehdi has held key positions in programming, communication, and partnerships at various festivals worldwide, including Doc Edge, the Austin Film Festival, FIPADOC, and RIDM. In 2019, he founded Film Fest Report to promote independent cinema from all backgrounds, which led him to have the pleasure of working alongside incredibly talented and inspiring collaborators.
