Enter our special competition before 31 October 2021 to earn a submission fee waiver to submit your film for free to the 2022 edition of the US-based Ouray International Film Festival!

After enabling one of our readers to win a fee waiver to submit her short film to the Emerging Filmmakers Night, we are back with another fee waiver for you to win, for the Ouray International Film Festival.

Each year, the Ouray International Film Festival brings the best of contemporary international cinema to Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. The festival screens independent films from all over the world, host filmmakers, and organize a range of programming that allows the public, artists, critics, and students to discuss timely questions around compelling stories. The majority of the programming takes place in the historic Wright Opera House, built in 1888 and surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. Now in its third year, the festival was founded by a trio of filmmakers – Jared LaCroix, Jacob Abell, and Terry Kiser – as an institution built to honor diverse cinematic voices, create space for longform discussions around big ideas, and connect filmmakers to the audiences that love their work. The festival is currently accepting submissions for the 2022 festival, which will run on June 23-26, 2022.

We are delighted to enable you to win a submission fee waiver, in partnership with the Ouray International Film Festival! This waiver will allow you to submit your short film for free to the 2022 edition of the festival. Fill the form below before 31 October 2021 to enter in a draw. Below are the six categories of works accepted by the Ouray International Film Festival:

• Narrative Feature Films (40 minutes or more)

• Documentaries Feature Films (40 minutes or more)

• Short Films (40 minutes or less)

• Student Short Films (40 minutes or less)

• International Cinema (40 minutes or less; the majority of the film must be in a language other than English)

• Music Videos (music videos may be available online as long as their production and posting occurred after Jan. 1, 2020. Original video file must be submitted via FilmFreeway).
